Functions
The functions of NSS focus on creating socially responsible and community-oriented individuals. It encourages students to understand the structure, needs and problems of the community while developing self-awareness in relation to it. By identifying and helping to solve local issues, NSS fosters social and civic responsibility. It promotes the application of academic knowledge to practical challenges and emphasizes the importance of teamwork and shared responsibility. Through active participation, students mobilize community involvement, develop leadership qualities, and adopt democratic attitude. Additionally, NSS builds the capacity to respond effectively to emergencies and disasters, while promoting national integration and social harmony.
Purpose
The purpose of NSS (National Service Scheme) is to develop personality and character among students through voluntary community service. It aims to instill a deep sense of social responsibility and commitment by encouraging students to engage with and understand the needs of the community. By bridging the gap between educated youth and society, NSS fosters social consciousness and promotes the practical application of academic knowledge to real-life challenges. Central to its mission is the motto "Not Me But You," emphasizing selfless service and the spirit of working for the betterment of others.
The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is a voluntary initiative aimed at creating awareness among youth about HIV/AIDS, promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging a sense of social responsibility. It functions in our institution to empower students to become peer educators and change-makers. The primary purpose of the club is to educate students on the causes, prevention and myths related to HIV/AIDS while reducing stigma and discrimination associated with it. Additionally, the club promotes voluntary blood donation, healthy behavioral practices and life skills such as leadership, decision-making and communication.
Along with this Red Ribbon Club plays an active role in spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuses. It educates students regarding the consequences of drug abuse. Overall, it aims to promote safe behaviors and also provide emotional & psychological support. Through various awareness drives, seminars, and outreach programs, the Red Ribbon Club plays a vital role in shaping socially conscious and health-aware citizens.

The purpose of our Electoral literacy club (ELC) is to educate and empower young voters about their electoral rights, duties and the democratic process. Also ELC helps students become responsible, informed and ethical voters by understanding the value of their vote. ELC guide eligible students on how to register as voters and update their details on electoral rolls and extend awareness activities to staff, students and community to promote democracy and make right use of their votes. Even Guest speakers like Election officials and BLO’s are invited to deepen understanding of electoral system. Apart from this, ELC fosters young people engagement in the electoral process through hand-on-activities like mock elections, debates, speech competitions, workshops, poster making competitions, creating selfie point on voters day and voter awareness campaigns.
Electoral Literacy club in our college functions to simulate real- life election procedures to familiarize students with the voting process and roles of various officials. ELC follows and organizes different activities as per guidelines given by Government at the time Elections.

The purpose of our Eco Club and Waste Management Cell is to promote environmental awareness, sustainability, and responsible waste management practices within the institution and surrounding community. This cell aims to instill eco-conscious values among students and staff by encouraging green initiatives such as reducing plastic use, conserving natural resources, planting trees and adopting the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle. It focuses on managing waste effectively through segregation, recycling, and composting, while also organizing awareness campaigns, clean-up drives, and eco-friendly projects. Ultimately, the cell seeks to foster a sense of environmental responsibility and inspire active participation in building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
The Waste Management Cell is specifically responsible for implementing effective waste disposal and recycling practices in college campus. It oversees the segregation of waste into biodegradable and non- biodegradable categories, promotes the reuse and recycling of materials, and facilitates composting of organic waste by converting dry waste and organic waste into vermi compost. The cell also conducts cleanliness drives and workshops to raise awareness about sustainable waste management techniques. Together, the ECO Club and the Waste Management Cell contribute to build an environmentally conscious and sustainable campus community.
